Park(ing) Day Detroit meets UNESCO City of Design meets UN World Creativity & Innovation Day/Week

Join us for our 8th Annual Park(ing) Day “Detroit to Pontiac” experience at Metropolis Cycles on Michigan Avenue. (Park(ing) Day is a global participatory tactical urbanism event initiated by ReBar Studio, since 2005.) Engage with a global and hyperlocal cohort of creatives and innovators in problem solving throughout the year, in support of localized youth agency and voice, while weaving together connections to various emergent Detroit projects.

 About Pontiac Holonomy Incubator Network Collaboratory (PHINCO) PHINCO’s work is informed by four decades of wisdom and experience in the fields of design and digital extrapolations applied to the auto industry, advertising, K-12, higher education and more recently to cities.   Through “combinatorial creativity” over time, they have developed and beta-tested a simple (meaning kids get it!) “Digital Visual CoDesign, Systems & Futures Thinking Sensemaking” process and platform to foster and facilitate social entrepreneurial learning ecosystems and organizations across boundaries and silos.    They develop participatory, collaborative, transdisciplinary research-based models that foster creative insights for complex problem-solving.
