The Silence Is An Offering is a performance and exhibition of visual graphic scores created by Na Bonsai to reflect migratory memories and ancestral displacement by echoing the patterns of nature that reflect our relationships to land.
About Na Bonsai
Na Bonsai is a multi-disciplinary Artist and Musician based in Detroit, MI whose work is deeply centered in cultural activism. As an artist, she seamlessly blends musical performance into her arts practice through visual storytelling and graphic scoring. Her debut graphic score series, “The Alkhemy of Awakened Sound,” was performed at Cranbrook Museum of Art as an epilogue to her debut musical project “Alkhemy,'' released in March 2023. Through intentional use of sound and color, she ventures into the themes of emotional healing, cultural connection, and spiritual liberation.
